Parts Department Warehouse Attendant

Full Time (M-F, 8:00AM-5:00PM)
(1 Hour Lunch)

Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License

• High school diploma or the equivalent

• Ability to interact well with others and maintain appropriate conduct

• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices

• This position requires the ability to push, pull, climb, stoop, kneel, reach, grasp, and walk on a regular basis

• The essential functions of this position require a person to work with hazardous or flammable materials; AND/OR to complete tasks in which a lapse of attention could result in injury, including without limitation the operating, or monitoring of heavy equipment, machinery, or motor vehicles

• Willingness to work the required schedule, complete employment application, submit to a background screening (to include criminal checks, past employment and education), the ability to pass a drug screen and physical as required by the Department of Transportation

Responsibilities:

• Retrieves (pulls) purchased parts from inventory

• Maintains inventory on shelves and in bins by reporting items needing to be reordered, identifying discrepancies in stock levels, and returning unsold items to stock

• Conducts inventory control activities and audits as directed by Supervisors

• Works with parts department counterpersons to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs

• Receives deliveries by verifying all items delivered are detailed on the packing slip

• Place items delivered in appropriate areas such as: designated inventory shelves, retail counter special order bins, and service department special order bins.

• Drive to and from various locations to pick up or deliver parts when needed

• Understand, and comply with, federal, state, and local regulations that pertain to work performed including but not limited to hazardous waste disposal, emergency response, safe driving, and OSHA Right-to-Know

• Understand MSDS labels and HAZCOM procedures (training provided)
